Ys Vs Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga to Appear on Modern Consoles
Nihon Falcom will release the English version of Ys vs Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga in 2025. The game originally came out for the PSP in July 2010. Characters that appear from Ys include Adol, Elk, Aisha, and Chester. From Trails, we have Estella, Joshua, Lloyd, and Renne. It’s unknown if characters who appeared in either series since 2010 will appear as playable characters. While this isn’t a remake and it’s a remastered port, the 2025 version of the game will add the ability to jump, which expands the amount of tactics you can employ in battle. So it’s not a complete 1-to-1 of the original. Like most fighting game, there’s a story mode in which narrative segments happen in between battles. Ys vs Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga will also have online multiplayer for the first time, along with the local multiplayer from the original game. English voice acting will also be an option, with the cast from their native games returning for this one.
